Field Place Manor House & Barns in Worthing crowned the best in the country!

The prestigious Wedding Industry Awards are an annual event, with 7 different regional final ceremonies held around the country, including categories for different venue types (Town or City and Countryside), suppliers, caterers and more. The venue at The Boulevard, hosted the South East Regional finals in November, where they won the regional award for their category and thus ensuring they were invited along to compete at the national finals on Wednesday 15th January.

The National Finals, which is the culmination of the 7 regional finals, pits the regional winners against each other, all battling to be named the nation’s best in their category.

Amanda Millis, Weddings & Functions Manager at the venue, commented: “I am absolutely over the moon for our venue to have won the National Award for ‘Best venue – Town & City 2020’. To have been part of the Wedding Industry Awards process for the last three years, achieving Regional Highly Commended 2018, Regional Winner 2019 & 2020 and to achieve National Winner 2020 is just fabulous. It is real credit to our couples, who we are so honoured to look after through all the planning and each and every wedding day here. Their feedback to the TWIA judging panel is so thorough, intended with such gratitude, I truly am so grateful for all their comments.”

Mark Byerley, Facility Manager at Field Place Manor House & Barns, went on to say: “I am so very happy for our team, it is a great achievement for us to be awarded national winners in such a prestigious competition. We take such care of our guests, which goes with many hours of co-ordination and work, such a lot of effort is put in to ensure that each wedding runs perfectly, so it is great to be recognised for all the enthusiasm that goes in, not to mention all the work we have done in investing in our venue.”

Having won the regional award meant so much to the venue, but the National award is an amazing achievement, which means they can class themselves as the best town or city venue in the UK, showcasing Worthing on the Wedding scene and highlighting just what the town has to offer.

Feedback from the judges of the awards was very positive, following high scores on the night, with one judge going on to say to of the venue and staff: “Congratulations! You clearly care a huge amount about the couples who get married at your lovely venue and work passionately to ensure that each wedding is as individual as possible. I was particularly impressed at how often couples name-checked individual members of staff in their comments as they had clearly got to know them really well on a personal level”.
